Classic baby

Baby card in shades of blue using Stampin' Up! Work of Art

This week's card went out to a mom-to-be in our marketing team at work. She went home from her surprise shower and went into labor. Her gorgeous baby arrived the next morning. Now, I'm not saying that this card will help babies arrive, BUT ...

This simple, classy card uses another favorite set that's carrying over into the new catalog (hurray!): Work of Art. The matching gift tag pairs it with Something for Baby. Gorgeous doesn't have to equal fussy!

Now, a confession: The white cardstock here isn't from Stampin' Up! I don't like to use the white cardstock for card bases, because it isn't heavy enough for my taste. I sneak in the PTI white when I'm making cards for other people and bend over backwards to avoid white cards in my classes. Other demonstrators use the SU! notecards, which are sturdier.

My wishes have been granted and there's 100# white cardstock in the new catalog. Oh happy day!! It wasn't on the preorder list, but you can bet your bottom dollar it'll be in my first order. Yay!
