Three cheers for the USA!

Patriotic card using Stars decorative mask

Today, our family said goodbye to the German exchange student who has been visiting with us for the last two weeks. We'll miss her!!

I put together a little travel bag with granola bars, tylenol, tissues, mints, and this very American card, to wish her well on the trip home.

The design was inspired by one that I made for my husband's birthday -- I'll share that one next week. Recognize the shirt dies? No? That's the onesie die from the Baby's First framelit set, with one snip to square off the bottom. I sponged around the edges to give some texture, and added letters with small dies from my stash. In the background, stars sponged with the Hearts and Stars decorative mask add a little more patriotic flair. I tucked in a little "Friends forever" banner to make this a perfect "See you again one day" message.
