I borrowed this set from Kim, because I needed a stamp set that would be easy and beautiful to demonstrate at a workshop. My inspiration started with Kim's sample card. I liked that she used the butterfly punch and I loved the color combo- a sampling of the new in colors for 2014-2016.
But I just couldn't resist poking around the internet for some other samples using Kinda Eclectic. My stamp space is right in front of a computer, and I cannot for the life of me sit in front of a computer without Googling an image of the stamp set I'm about to use.
So then I found this sample by Krista. I liked her layout, and I liked that it was a little brighter mounted on the orange card base.
That took me to my card:
I wanted a bright, fall look, so I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Pacific Point. I added a little twisted piece of twine to the butterfly. (Sorry, he didn't photograph so clearly.)
So, that's a little picture story of the creative progression on this card. Sometimes it's nice to break down that process and look back to how you got your finished project. How does your creativity flow?
