A little stamping here, a little doodling there

I can remember, when I was a child, I loved to doodle; squiggles, curly cues, and zigzags! My dad used to do this a lot in his artwork, which is maybe where I picked it up from. Well, the other day, I was looking at art on Pinterest, when I stumbled on this beautiful print. I knew right away that I wanted CASE it, to get back to some doodling, and incorporate rubber stamps.

Fortunately, Stampin' Up!'s stamp set, Fabulous Florets, gave me the perfect start with the flower images. From there I used Circle Framelits and circle punches for tracing perfect circles, and then I used Micron ink pens to doodle inside and around the circles. Two of the circles I masked off and used other Stampin' Up! images inside. I also used the leaves from the Bird Builder punch. I wanted to add a delicate sentiment, so I picked a couple of words from the Create a Cupcake set, and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement. This is a definite mixture of hand drawing, tracing, and stamping!

I did use all waterproof ink, so I could use my Aquapainter to color in the images, and not worry about smearing any of my lines.
