A few months ago, I purchased this basket of tart tins. They have been sitting next to my desk in my craft room staring me down, every time I sit. My first thoughts on these tins were to make ornaments. But instead of making something for my Christmas tree, I decided to make a little Halloween trinket to hang in the window over my kitchen sink.
I dipped the edge of my pie tin in regular old Elmer's school glue, and thoroughly coated it with the new Black Glitter from the Holiday Catalog. I didn't end up buying any of the Halloween DSP this year, but the Pumpkin Pie sheet from the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP fit perfectly when I used my 2 3/8" scallopped circle punch. I gently crammed (oxymoron?) that into the tin, getting the form just right, and added some more of the Elmers to make sure it stuck.
I stamped the Tags 4 You Trick or Treat image in Basic Black ink onto Basic Grey card stock and cut it out the old fashioned way. (Didn't buy the punch to match this set...yet.) I adhered this using dimensionals.
I layered a black button with a Vintage Faceted button and tied a baker's twine bow to add a little embellishment. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch two holes in the top and finished with an 1/8" Pumpkin Pie ribbon.
There are 3 other holidays represented with the Tags 4 You stamp set, guess it's a good thing I have plenty of tart tins left!!!
