Trees that sparkle

I loved Deena's holiday ornament card and wanted to make a version of it using the big blocks of color. So, at a recent crafting evening, I played around with the colors and the layout to make this CASE. Mine uses a single stamp and has no sentiment; I heat embossed ornaments on the center tree to add golden sparkle.
Here's a second look, straight on (less sparkle, more tree :-).

Ingredients
Paper and card:
  • Early Espresso card base
  • Whisper White, cut to 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake, each cut to 1 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Stamp set:
  • Warmth & Wonder (hostess)
Ink:
  • Early Espresso
  • Versamark
Accessories:
  • Gold embossing powder
  • Heat tool

Your challenge for the weekend?
Find a card design you like -- in a box, on a blog, on Pinterest -- and play with it till you make it your own. It's a great way to get creative without all the pressure of a blank piece of card stock!
