Snarky Cards

Two of my favorite brothers celebrate birthdays this month, and sadly enough, Stampin' UP! doesn't offer a whole lot in the way of snark and sarcasm, which is what I look for when I'm sending birthday greetings to these two.  However, our favorite rubber stamp supplier has recently introduced a few Photopolymer stamp sets that have a little bit of sarcastic potential.

I just ordered the Bombs Away Birthday Photopolymer Stamp Set, so maybe you'll see a sample from that set next week.  But for now, I've been borrowing the Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set from my pal Deena.  It's an alphabet set that is very easy to use, but I'm not going to sugar coat it, this is some tedious, time consuming stamping.  (And you'll waste even more time scouring the internet looking for more hilarious things to spell out!)  But it is well worth it, especially if there isn't a stamp with a sentiment that really expresses what you want to say.

Hopefully, none of our wonderful readers are offended by my warped sense of humor.  I apologize in advance if this is not the case.  In any case, Happy Friday!

Card #1
  • Whisper White card base
  • Daffodil Delight card stock cut to 3 3/4" by 5"
  • Whisper White card stock cut to 3 1/2" by 4 3/4"
  • Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Island Indigo ink pad
  • Baker's Twine
  • Summer Smooches DSP
  • Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight card stock scraps
I used the very tip of the Petite Pennants Builder punch to  make my tiny little bunting banner.
