Magnificent Monday guest: Vicki Burdick!
I was thrilled to be asked to be a guest designer on Magnificent Monday. When thinking about what I wanted to make, I decided I wanted to make something that showcased my style. I think this card sums it up.
I love floral cards, they are my favorite, and I like clean lines and embossing and we can'tforget some beautiful ribbon and pearls.
I started with a base of Whisper White and then my next layer is Lucky Limeade card stock, 5-1/4" x 4". I embossed the bottom edge of the Lucky Limeade with one of the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders.
The next layer is a 5-1/8 " x 2-3/4" piece of whisper white card stock and then a layer of DSP from the Sunshine and Sprinkles pack and measures 5" x 2-5/8". The satin ribbon is whisper white and sadly is retired, I love all the satin ribbon and stocked up before it was gone.
The main image is from the Oh Hello stamp set and I used my markers, Lucky Limeade and Melon Mambo, to color it. I stamped onto some Whisper White and used Early Espresso ink for the sentiment. I die cut the oval out using the oval framelits. To make the mat I used Melon Mambo card stock and the same oval framelit die that I cut the main image with, and just traced around the outside of the die, and then cut it out with my paper snips. I used the distressing tool on the edge, which gives a nice effect but also hides the imperfections in the hand cut oval.
Finally I finished it off with a few basic pearls.
I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for asking me to be a guest designer.
