Magnificent Monday, Ears to You

Magnificent Monday Guest: Rita Wright!

I'm very honored to have been asked to share a project here at Pink Paper Bakery.   I love stamping and sharing with my fellow paper crafters.    If you are like me, you have a basket just full of scraps and leftover pieces of paper.  I love finding new designs and ideas for using those up and this card is one that works great!

See what I mean?  To make this card I cut an old piece of paper to the size I wanted (in this case, 3 7/8 inches x 5 1/8 inches) and then layered on top of it.  I stamped my main image, positioned it where I wanted it, and then started placing scrap strips above and below it, until the paper was covered.  You can use designer paper, embossed card stock, or just plain card stock.  After covering, just use your trimmer to trim up the sides to form your rectangle. I then matted that on a piece of 5 1/4 inches x 4 inch piece of card stock and attached it to my base.   You can add the ribbon and twine at any point, it just depends on which of the layers you want them to wrap around.

I hope you'll be inspired to use up some of your scraps now!
