Layout remix: Birthday

A few weeks ago, I shared a sympathy card idea layout with you. That layout came from a little frustration on my part -- I wanted to make a sympathy card that wasn't just a birthday card in somber colors. I came up with a simple-but-elegant design that I was very happy with.

Then, as I was thinking about layouts for a class I was teaching, I had a moment.
This layout would make a GORGEOUS birthday card.

Argh.

Ingredients:
  • Paper:
    • Daffodil delight: Card base plus 3 1/4" x 2" mat for the card on the left; 2" square for the card on the right.
    • Whisper White: 3" x 1 3/4" for the card on the left; 1 3/4" square for the card on the right.
  • Stamp sets:
    • My Friend (any large botanical would work)
    • Well Scripted (on the left; this is a retired set)
    • Happiest Birthday Wishes (on the right; hostess set)
  • Ink:
    • Tangerine Tango
  • Tools and accessories:
    • Dimensionals (under the yellow mat)
    • BLING! Rhinestone basics on the left; the new gignormous rhinestones on the right.

At my class, the ladies asked how I stamped the image onto the white to line up with the image on the base (card on the left). I didn't! It just looks that way. :-)
