Birthday Banner

These little bunting banners are all over the place lately.  With a Big Shot and a couple of dies, the possibilities are endless. I've seen lacy, vintage styled banners and festive holiday banners, but for a birthday, bold, bright colors are the way to go.  I used the Summer Smooches and Sycamore Street Designer Series Papers to guide me with my colors.  I chose the patterns that were mostly the bright color, with small white designs on them.  I used Crumb Cake card stock as the base, and ran each triangle through the Big Shot with an embossing folder to give each flag a little more dimension.

I punched small holes in the upper corners and strung baker's twine through the holes.  I didn't use any other adhesives to hang it, so that I would be able to pack it away with my other birthday decorations and easily reassemble it every time a birthday rolls around!

  • Perfect Pennant Bigz Die
  • Crumb Cake card stock
  • Variety of Textured Embossing Folders, I used Chevron, Perfect Polka Dots, Stripes, and Square Lattice
  • Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die
  • Summer Smooches DSP
  • Sycamore Street DSP- part of the Sale-A-Bration catalog
  • Island Indigo Bakers Twine
  • Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, and Rich Razzleberry card stock.

Super cute! I freaking love that printers tray, and the birthday details you added with stamps! Next time you leave town, I'll be happy to watch Griz for you! ;)
