Thinking outside the card: Tea time earrings

Not everything I make is a card -- and some things are just too cute to give away. These adorable tea set charms, for example!

When I saw the Tea Time Trinkets set in the spring catalog, I knew that I wanted to make them into something I could keep. Because these come with lobster clasps, I was able to turn another cup into a charm I can swap out on my necklace, too.

I found the locket and chain (on the clearance rack, huzzah!) and added a little International Bazaar DSP.

Have fun thinking outside the card!

Ingredients
Paper:
  • International Bazaar DSP
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Lucky Limeade
Stamp set:
  • Lovely Letters Alphabet
Ink:
  • Early Espresso
Embellishments:
  • Tea Time Trinkets
  • Simply Adorned Charm
  • Simply Adorned Chain
  • Beads, earwires, and wire from my stash

These trinkets as jewelry look so cool! I thought that when I first saw them. I'm still hanging onto mine, to make a charm bracelet for my daughter. Cute! :-)
