Hello, Baby! Card

I've got a third nephew on the way any day now, and his mama loves elephants.  I think this card will be perfect!  Even though the elephant is blue, the bright colors would be great to welcome a new baby girl, too.

I wanted to showcase a few techniques with this card, since it will be one of the cards we're making in a technique class this month.  The elephant and the sentiment are heat embossed using the Tempting Turquoise embossing powder and the Versa Mark stamp pad.  I also used the paper piercing tool and template to add yet another layer of dimension. The elephant is cut out and adhered with dimensionals.  Using a stylus and my paper piercing pad, I gently made circular motions in the center of the small punched flower to give it a more 3-D look.  This card wasn't  exactly a quick one, but you could easily use this layout without the heat embossing, or even the paper piercing.
