Close-up of the texture on this DSP!

When I saw Jenny's valentine card idea this week, I was inspired to CASE it. Here's the same basic layout as a bookmark. I'm still thinking of other ways I might reinterpret her design, so don't be surprised if you see this wood print again soon. I added a knobby glass bead and some velvet-feel ribbon to make this bookmark a joy to touch, as well as to see.

If you love Crumb Cake, but haven't explored the textured yumminess that is the Natural Composition Specialty DSP, you are missing out!

  • Paper:
    • Crumb Cake -  7 1/2" x 2" (I cut 2 and glued together to give some sturdiness)
    • Natural Composition DSP - 7 1/2" x 2" glued on top
  • Stamp set:
    • Fabulous Phrases
  • Ink:
    • Early Espresso (I sponged the edge of the heart and the edge of the bookmark, too)
  • Ribbon:
    • Early Espresso quarter inch
    • Very Vanilla Designer Velvet (I found this on the Clearance Rack a few weeks ago)
  • Tools and accessories:
    • Heart punch (I used a random one I had in a drawer)
    • Corner rounder
    • Bead (ditto)
    • Snail to hold the velvet ribbon (I overlapped it neatly on the back)
