Feeling Sentimental

Feeling Sentimental is one of the free stamp sets available in the 2013 Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Besides loving the vintage look of the stamps, I love any sign of a roller coaster.  This old ferris wheel makes me think  of Cedar Point, an awesome amusement park on Lake Erie in Ohio.  My family drove up there every summer, and we crammed in as many roller coaster rides and funnel cakes as we could in one day, then we'd fall asleep in the car on the way home dreaming of those rides!
I started this card by stamping off the ferris wheel, so it looked to be a part of the background of the designer series paper.  I curled back the edge of the DSP, and I liked that little bit of red that peeked out from the corner.  With the Midnight Muse card stock and red striped baker's twine, the card has a little Americana look that might be perfect for a summer birthday card.

  • Crumb Cake card base
  • Midnight Muse card stock cut to 4 3/4" by 3 1/2"  *I curled the edges of the card stock with my bone folder so that it separated and had a worn look.
  • Print Poetry Designer Series Paper cut to 3 !/4" by 4 1/2"
  • Feeling Sentimental stamp set
  • Crumb Cake ink pad
  • Chocolate Chip marker used with the color spritzing tool
  • Red baker's twine
