A Quick Mini Message Center

Do you ever find that you can't find a pen or paper when you need it?  Try adding a small message board by your phone or on your desk to help you with this problem.  My stamping club recently made this fun mini wipeboard/message board using a $.99 picture frame from Ikea.  I saw this idea when our baker, Jen Austin made some of these with her club last year.  I always wanted to try it but never got around to getting the frames until recently on my home from a Washington, DC trip.  I actually talked my mom and kids into stopping at IKEA for a 20 minutes which we all know turns into 2 or 3 hours.  Gosh how I love IKEA!
To make this mini message board you will need...
a small picture frame (any picture frame will do) - I used a 4" x 6" frame here
card stock
ink
stamps
a little bit of creativity

Just stamp like you would to create a card but make the layer small enough to fit into the picture frame.  Don't over do it or you will never be able to see your message.  Add a card stock base layer to look like a mat for your frame.  Make a second one for the opposite side of your picture frame (if you have an open back).  Place your new mini message board near your phone to make it easy for anyone in your family to take down that message or place it on your desk to write your daily "To Do" list on.  Either way you have a fun and creative mini message center in just a little bit of time and with just a little bit of money (or FREE if you use an old picture frame from somewhere in your house).  Give it a try and let us know what your new mini message center looks like!
