Cold Hands Warm Hearts Mitten Card

The saying "Cold Hands Warm Hearts" always touches my soul.  So I felt it was time to pull out my punches and make some mittens today.  After playing around with the mittens for awhile I finally settled on using two mittens instead of three on my card.  I love the color combination and the simple touch of snow flakes on the tops of the mittens.  The best part of this whole card is how easy the mittens are to make.  Use the large oval punch and extra-large oval punch and place the punched out DSP together until they form the look of a mitten.  Then add a 1/1/4" x 3/4" piece of cardstock to make the top of the mitten.  And it's done...yes, it's that easy.  Of course, you can add touches of details to them by using embossing folders on the mittens or mitten tops, changing out the DSP with some glimmer paper or adding snowflakes or buttons on top of your mittens.  I added touches of details by using the retired Snowflake Embossing folder on my mitten tops, the retired Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment DSP and sponging some ink on the mittens to give them a vintage look.  Give it a try and let us bakers know what you come up with.
