So much Designer Series Paper, so little time?

I don't know about you, but May always seems to be crazy busy around this house.  School's ending, spring activities are finishing up while summer activities are already starting, Mother's Day, several birthdays, the list is never ending.  I love it when I'm able to check anything off my list quickly, including a hand made card!
There are so many ways to find inspiration out there, but checking out sketch challenges is a great way to find inspiration fast!  This week I went to the Freshly Made Sketches blog.  Their challenge for the week is an awesome one for showing off all that beautiful Stampin'UP! Designer Series Paper that you just can't resist buying, but maybe have a hard time trying to use it.  This sketch was so great, I was able to come up with 2 cards in a matter of minutes!

This card uses the retired Sweet Shop DSP, I loved it when I saw it, but had hardly used any of it.  Now I might have to whip up several card sets to give as gifts!

Ingredients:
Pool Party card base
Poppy Parade cut to 3 1/4" by 3 1/2"
Sweet Shop DSP cut to 1" by 3 1/2"
Whisper White card stock cut to 1 1/2" by 4 1/4"
Soft Suede card stock cut to 1" by 4 1/4", then punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch
Designer Printed Brads in the 2011-2013 In Colors
A Word For You stamp set, Stampin'UP! stamped in Soft Suede

This card uses the Pocketful of Posies DSP, get it before June 1st!  The stamp set, Thank You Kindly, will also be retiring with the current catalog on May 31st.

Ingredients:
Baja Breeze card base
Pocketful of Posies DSP cut to 1" by 3 3/4" strips, adhered to Poppy Parade card stock cut to 3 1/4" by 3 3/4"
Another strip of Pocketful of Posies DSP cut to 1 3/4" by 4 1/4"
Thank You Kindly Stampin'UP! stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede ink.
Denim Jean Ribbon

Wow!!! I love them both! Such different card because of the cool DSP choices. So glad you could play not once but twice this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

Two wonderful cards! That sketch is most definitely perfect for using up some of the dsp that we all seem to "collect." Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
