Punched Flower Turns Patriotic

Started this card by creating a flower using the Summer Smooches DSP and the 1 3/8" circle punch.  To create the flower, cut out 7 circles using the 1 3/8" circle punch.  Fold the sides in towards each other until they meet to form a "V" shape or until they slightly overlap.  Alternate sides of the DSP you are folding together.  This way you can alternate the colors/designs of the DSP when applying the soon to be flower petals to the punched circle base.  Use one circle punch as the base and attach all the "petals" to it using glue dots.  Attach a Whisper White button to the center of all the flower petals using a few glue dots on the back of the button.  This will hold all the petals down.  If you want to make sure they can't open up at all, just adhere a bit of snail to one of the DSP sides before folding it down to form the "V" shape.

As soon as I saw the flower with the red, white and blue colors I knew it would be perfect for the 4th of July so I added Real Red and Island Indigo card stock (texturized using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot) to the Whisper White card base.  Still haven't decided what greeting I want to put on it but I do know that it will be on a piece of Whisper White card stock to make it pop.  Enjoy!
