Birthdays Suck

Yes, I do spend a little time cruising that website that will have you wanting to craft or eat something RIGHT NOW.  (Don't ever Pin when you're hungry.)  It is full of wonderful projects and ideas.

I needed a gift for my dear old dad, and I thought this would be pretty fun.  I wanted it to be easy to ship, so I concocted the container from an old oatmeal cylinder.  Then I cut a piece of styrofoam to fit snug inside.
I used the label as a guide for my designer paper.  I glued the paper to the outside of the tube, and cut another rectangle to fit the upper part of the inside.

I thought the Just Add Cake (124339) designer series paper would be perfect with my Tootsie Roll Pops.  (you could also go with '60 Blows' and use Blow Pops, but my pop isn't much of a gum chewer)
I used a couple of different circle punches to fit the letters and numbers I needed to complete my message at the top, and added them to another rectangle of DSP so that my message could be seen above the lollipops.
I added my Happy Birthday message using the Patterned Party stamp set (123065).
