Top Note Album

I was invited to provide crafty entertainment to a group of girls celebrating an 11th birthday.  I immediately thought of a small photo album using the Top Note die.  I wanted something that would be cute, they are girls, after all!  But I didn't want it to be too cutesy.  Does that make any sense?  The Just Add Cake designer series paper seemed perfect for a birthday party, with all its bright colors and fun designs.
I used the cardboard backing that comes with the designer series paper (y'all save those, right?!) for the front and back covers.
Bakers Tip: Adhere the paper to the cardboard before you run it through the Big Shot to reinforce the sticking power of your adhesive.
This particular album only has 6 pages, but I'm going to have the girls make 8.  I also cut extra Top Note dies and cut them in half to provide a nice matte for a photo or for stamping a sentiment.  We'll use some other dies and punches to add personal touches on each page of the album.  I used the Crop-a-Dile (thank you Kim, I will be purchasing one of my own ASAP!) to put a nice hole through all the layers.  String them all together using a binder ring from the office supply store, and tie a few scraps of matching ribbons around the ring and you've got yourself a very handy little scrapbook or photo album!
