This Bunny Makes Me So "Hoppy"

Every holiday my kids and I make treat bags for their classmates.  We include non-candy treats of pencils, erasers, notepads, play dough, and stickers.  The kids help me pick out the items that go into the treat bags, put the treats in the bags themselves and help stamp & create a bag topper for their friends.  I always try to start these one week before they need to take them into school so we still have time to purchase other items if we run out and to give us time to make the bag toppers.  My kids always want to include something for their teachers so I made these adorable bunny cards for them.  I copied this idea from Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho, who made some as cards but suggested that they could also be used as tags or table setting cards.
I loved how cute and simple these bunny cards were to make but I wanted them to stand up.  So I found a way to make them stand up.  I used a small oval punch, folded it in half and cut a straight line across the bottom of the punched oval.  This allowed me to stand the bunny cards up and I covered up the oval punch with a bunny tail.  Isn't it so cute?  This bunny card makes me so "hoppy" for Easter!
Since Easter is still 11 days away, you can easily make some up in a jiffy to pass onto friends and family or use them as table favors/settings for your Easter dinner.  Let me know how your bunny cards and Easter holiday turn out.  Enjoy!

Ingredients...
  • Whisper White card stock punched with a 2 1/2" circle punch (#120906) for the body - need 2 for the front and back of the bunny (cut a straight line on the bottom of the 2 1/2" circle punched card stock), an extra-large oval punch (#119859) for the ears - need 2 for the ears and a large oval punch (#119855) for the legs - need 2 for a right and left leg; also need a Whisper White card stock punched from a large oval punch to fold in half and use for standing up the bunny cards
  • Pretty in Pink card stock punched with a large oval punch (#119855) for the inside of the ears
  • "happy easter" greeting from Delightful Dozen stamp set (#122650 WM or #122652 CM)
  • DSP used for the bunny tail punched with 1" circle punch (#119868), 3/4" circle punch (#119873) and 1/2" circle punch (#119869) & attached with snail or a mini glue dot - (I used a retired package of DSP since it was a project for the kids' teachers.  You can substitute with whatever DSP you want depending on the color combinations you want.)
